Abstract

In this study, the nanocomposite films of polyvinylidene fluoride/reduced graphene oxide (RGO) were prepared by mixing of reduced graphene oxide in a solution of dimethyl formamide and polyvinylidene fluoride. The prepared nanocomposites were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, showed an obvious α- to β-phase transformation compared to pure PVDF. Optical images showed spherulitic crystal structure of PVDF. The spherulitic morphology of the pure PVDF is maintained for the PVDF nanocomposites. Alsothe thermal behavior of PVDF/RGO nanocomposite films have been investigated by employing thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) which showed higher thermal stability of PVDF nanocomposite after loading of RGO than pure PVDF.
